Rescue 1122 gets 35 modern fire tenders to meet emergency

In a ceremony aimed at bolstering fire and emergency response across Sindh, the Sindh government has presented 35 modern fire tenders to Rescue 1122. The vehicles, procured by the local government department, will be distributed in stages to municipal corporations and union committees in various districts. Local Government Minister Nasser Hussain Shah and Chief Minister’s Adviser Gianchand Esrani inaugurated the event.

Hussain Shah emphasized that this induction is part of the government’s strategy to equip the rescue and fire services with crucial machinery and facilities. He explained that the presence of modern fire tenders would significantly improve the province's ability to manage fire emergencies in urban areas, ensuring a prompt response to incidents.

The minister further stated that additional fire tenders are anticipated to arrive and will be allocated based on necessity and priority, while necessary facilities will be provided to union committees to strengthen emergency response at the grassroots level. Hussain Shah highlighted that enhancing response times at the local level is crucial for safeguarding both lives and property.

He added that the process of supplying modern firefighting equipment and machinery to bolster the operational capability of Rescue 1122 is ongoing.

Gianchand Esrani, the Chief Minister’s Adviser, noted that the delivery of new vehicles and equipment will make the Rescue 1122 system more active, effective, and modern. He reiterated that the government's main priority is to ensure a swift response to accidents, fire incidents, and other emergencies.
