Raiders Bolster Defensive Line With Veteran DT

The Las Vegas Raiders are bolstering their defensive line by signing veteran defensive tackle Foley Fatukasi, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. The 31-year-old Fatukasi, who played for the Houston Texans in the past two seasons, will bring valuable experience to the Raiders' defensive line. Fatukasi made 90 career appearances and started 64 games throughout his NFL career.

In his last two seasons with Houston, he managed 32 tackles and 2.5 sacks, despite dealing with a shoulder injury that limited his performance in the 2025 season. Apart from that injury, Fatukasi has generally maintained good health throughout his career. He began his NFL journey as a sixth-round pick in the 2018 draft by the New York Jets.

Over the first four years with New York, Fatukasi amassed 115 tackles, three sacks, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and three pass deflections. He later signed a three-year, $30 million deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he added 48 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and four pass deflections before being released prior to the 2024 season.

Fatukasi hails from Far Rockaway, New York, and played college football at UConn, where he accumulated 170 tackles, 14 sacks, and two forced fumbles from 2014-17. Additionally, he received honorable mention on the 2015 All-American Athletic Conference football team.
