PSG sign Belgian winger Godts from Ajax

Paris Saint-Germain have bolstered their attack by signing Belgian winger Mika Godts from Ajax on a five-year deal. The 21-year-old, who had a remarkable season in the Dutch league with 17 goals and 12 assists, was also named young player of the year. Godts' transfer fee amounted to 55 million euros, including bonuses. Despite representing Belgium twice, he was not selected for their World Cup squad.

Before joining Ajax in 2023, he progressed through Genk's youth system. In 115 appearances for Ajax across all competitions, he contributed to 54 goals. Godts expressed his excitement about joining the French champions, stating, "I feel incredibly proud to be joining one of the best clubs in the world." PSG will face Lens in the French Champions Trophy on Sunday, followed by their league title defense against Rennes.
