Programme on ‘Fascinating World of Ants’ to be held at IIET

An interactive demonstration and talk titled 'Fascinating World of Ants' will be held at the Indian Institute of Educational Theatre (IIET) in Mysuru on Sunday. Organised jointly by IIET and The Academy Trust, the event will be led by Entomology and Natural History Researcher S.J. Srinivasa at 12 p.m. The talk, themed 'Atomic Being, Awesome Energy', aims to shed light on the often overlooked intelligence and efficiency of ants found in our surroundings.

Srinivasa, a specialist in museum exhibits and science display models, is also known for his expertise in painting, sculpture, handicrafts, and natural science. Over a decade at the Regional Museum of Natural History (RMNH) in Mysuru, he has dedicated his career to popularising biological sciences. His particular interests lie in entomology, botanical taxonomy, and earth sciences.

According to the press release, Srinivasa hopes to integrate the wisdom found in forests, remote areas, and tribal folk culture into scientific studies. The talk will be held at IIET's premises on Hardwicke School campus, Jhansi Lakshmi Bai Road. Environmental enthusiasts, children, and parents are encouraged to attend.
