Mumbai University Holds ‘Student Dialogue’ In Hostels To Address Concerns And Promote NEP Opportunities

Mumbai University conducted a 'Student Dialogue' in hostels on Independence Day to discuss student concerns and promote opportunities under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. University officials visited several hostels to interact with students and learn about their academic and residential experiences. At Madam Cama Girls' Hostel, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ravindra Kulkarni and Registrar Dr Prasad Karande held a meeting with students to address their issues and inform them about NEP 2020 initiatives, educational opportunities, skill-based programs, and career development courses.

The university administration emphasized that student welfare is a priority and that measures are being taken to improve hostel facilities and the overall academic and residential environment. Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr Ajay Bhamre visited Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil Boys' Hostel and interacted with students, stating that the university is committed to their overall development.

At Jagannath Shankarsheth Boys' Hostel, Director of Sports Dr Manoj Reddy and Director of Student Development Dr Sunil Patil met with students to discuss their concerns. Similarly, at the New Girls' Hostel, Superintendent Dr Madhura Kulkarni and Director of the Board of Examinations and Evaluation Dr Pooja Raundal interacted with students to understand their expectations and issues.

The university administration clarified that the 'Student Dialogue' initiative is not just about listening to students' grievances but also involves taking necessary actions for their resolution.

The 'Student Dialogue' is part of the university's student-centric approach, aiming to establish direct communication with students while informing them about academic, skill-development, and career opportunities available through the university.
