Pre-season: Saibari and Brown decisive in their Allianz Arena debut as Bayern defeat Leipzig

Bayern Munich secured a convincing 3-1 victory over RB Leipzig in their Allianz Arena pre-season friendly. Goals from Luis Diaz, Nathaniel Brown, and Jamal Musiala proved decisive for the hosts. However, the Leipzig side suffered an injury setback as Konrad Laimer had to be substituted early in the match. Diaz showcased his goal-scoring prowess, mirroring his performance in Bayern's recent friendly against Aston Villa in Hong Kong.

Following the restart, Bayern dominated the second-half, and Manuel Neuer was eventually beaten by Brajan Gruda's volley off a Max Finkgräfe pass. Nathaniel Brown extended Bayern's lead ten minutes before the break when he replaced Vincent Kompany, who made six changes to the lineup. The former Eintracht Frankfurt defender then put the ball away with a precise finish after Aleksandar Pavlovic provided a pass.

Saibari, another summer signing, came on as a substitute in the 62nd minute and assisted Musiala's decisive goal. It marked Musiala's first appearance for Bayern since the World Cup. Leipzig, meanwhile, welcomed back Rocco Reitz and Lutsharel Geertruida, although the latter's return to the Eredivisie remains uncertain. The game saw Vincent Kompany and Martin Demichelis reunited as former Manchester City teammates.

Bayern will conclude their pre-season campaign with an away match against Heidenheim, who recently lost to Hertha BSC in the 2. Bundesliga. Meanwhile, RB Leipzig will face Eintracht Trier in the DFB-Pokal. The Bundesliga champions will make their season debut against Dortmund in the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup.
