PKR congress a chance to reflect, close ranks, says Tengku Zafrul

Tengku Zafrul Aziz, a representative of the PKR National Congress, believes that the upcoming congress presents an opportunity for introspection, unity, and party strengthening following recent electoral setbacks. As an ex-officio member of the party's political bureau, Tengku Zafrul emphasizes the need for PKR to pinpoint its shortcomings and enhance the efficiency of its operations.

He stresses that if the populace has yet to witness the fruits of their labor, it falls to the party to communicate their progress more clearly and openly.

Moreover, Tengku Zafrul encourages the party to listen attentively to the concerns of its constituents, acknowledging unresolved issues and addressing them accordingly. Acknowledging his status as a recent joiner to PKR, he expresses his desire for the party to remain robust and resilient. Tengku Zafrul's remarks come in the aftermath of PKR's poor performance in the recent state elections.

In Negeri Sembilan, the party secured only two of the 16 contested seats, while in Johor, they managed to win just one out of the 20 contested seats. Despite their disappointment with the unity government partners, Tengku Zafrul firmly believes that the focus should remain on bolstering PKR's own capabilities. He asserts that it is imperative for the party to strengthen itself rather than relying on external factors.
