Osun Poll: Accord Deputy Guber Candidate Raises Concern Over Late Arrival of INEC Officials in Some Areas

In Osun State, the deputy governorship candidate of the Accord Party, Prince Kola Adewusi, expressed confidence in his party's victory in the upcoming governorship election. Adewusi, who has been monitoring the voting process, praised the deployment of security personnel to maintain a peaceful atmosphere across the state. However, he noted a discrepancy in the arrival times of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials at various polling units, expressing worry that their tardy presence in some areas might hinder the smooth start of the voting process.

Despite this concern, Adewusi remains optimistic about the Accord Party's prospects, attributing his confidence to the hard work and broad support his party has garnered throughout Osun. When asked about his expectations from the election, Adewusi stated, "We are on the ground. What do you expect me to say? We are winning." He further emphasized a commitment to a free and fair process, predicting that the final results would accurately represent the electorate's preferences.

He urged voters to remain disciplined and display responsible behavior throughout the entire voting and subsequent collation procedures.
