Osun decides: Election will be peaceful, I will win – Gov Adeleke

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has voiced his belief that the ongoing gubernatorial election will be conducted peacefully, and he anticipates winning the race. The governor made these remarks after casting his ballot at Sagba Agbogunde Ward 2, Unit 9, located in Ede North Local Government Area. According to the DAILY POST, Adeleke arrived at the polling station around 8 am, accompanied by a sizable entourage of supporters.

Following his vote, the governor expressed confidence in his prospects of securing the electoral victory and called upon voters across the state to actively participate in the election process, thus safeguarding their right to vote until the electoral proceedings are fully completed. The governor emphasized that the election presents an opportunity for the people of Osun to decide who will govern the state for the ensuing four years, urging voters to maintain peace and adherence to the law throughout the voting and collation processes.

"This election will be peaceful and I will win. I want you people of Osun State to remain at your polling units and monitor the process in accordance with the guidelines of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC," the governor stated.
