Osun Decides: ‘Count again or no vote’ – Agents protest ballot paper shortage [VIDEO]

Party agents in the Ejigbo Local Government Area of Osun State have called for a recount of ballot papers following allegations that the supply was insufficient. This demand surfaced as voting commenced in the Osun governorship election, as captured in a video shared on X on Saturday, August 15, 2026. In the footage, the agents insisted that the ballot papers be verified before voting could commence.

One agent questioned the number presented at the polling site, stating that even if recounted, it would fall short of the 594 papers claimed to have been brought. "If you count it again, am sure it won't be up to 100, and they claimed they brought 594 for us and now is not up to 594," the agent remarked. An INEC official at the scene explained that the discrepancy was likely an error during the initial count.

However, the agents remained firm, refusing to allow voting to proceed until the discrepancy was resolved. "Count again and if it doesn't complete, we won't vote," the agents reportedly declared.
