On the night table: Laura Meuckon

Laura Meuckon, the executive director of Plume Winnipeg, shared her reading habits with her 12-year-old son. They are enjoying Andy Weir's Project Hail Mary, a quick and easy read that they are both thoroughly enjoying together. In addition to this, she is also reading some Winnipeg Book Festival titles, currently focusing on Bill Gaston's non-fiction book, Spying on America.

This book delves into his experiences and those of his adult sons while driving through the U.S. during the COVID era. Meuckon finds the book quite interesting and is excited to see Gaston at the Winnipeg Book Festival. He has challenged her beliefs about red and blue divisions in the U.S. and highlighted the unique crossovers that exist.
