Official: Lazio Sign Davide Frattesi From Inter Milan

Lazio has announced the signing of Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season. The transfer completed in a remarkably short time frame, with negotiations starting on Tuesday and reaching a deal by Thursday. The 26-year-old was expected to join Lazio by Friday, but a hurdle arose when the Lega Serie A intervened due to restrictions on Lazio's transfer activities this summer.

However, a conversation between the club presidents, Claudio Lotito and Giuseppe Marotta, quickly resolved the issue and allowed the deal to proceed.

Frattesi has agreed to a €5 million loan deal with an option to purchase for €10 million, plus a 50% sell-on clause in favor of Inter Milan. This is a return to Lazio for Frattesi, who began his career at the club's academy before moving to Roma. He later had a successful stint at Sassuolo, which led to his transfer to Inter Milan for a fee of €32 million in 2023.

Despite not being a consistent starter for Inter, the Italian international still managed to score crucial goals from the bench, including an extra-time winner in the Champions League final against Barcelona in May 2025.
