Mir Raza Ali's murder: Interim bail of deceased's business partner extended till Aug 24

Karachi's session court extended the interim pre-arrest bail of Muhammad Ahmed Bhardey, the business partner of Mir Raza Ali, a young businessman whose body was found after he went missing in PECHS. Bhardey's lawyer argued that he was being harassed by police and feared arrest despite his cooperation with the investigation. The lawyer claimed that Bhardey had been summoned to the crime scene rather than the police station and alleged previous harassment by the investigating officer.

However, the family's lawyer, Jibran Nasir, denied these claims, stating that Bhardey was merely summoned during the investigation process and that around 35 witnesses were questioned. The court questioned Bhardey's motivation for seeking bail when he was not initially named as an accused. The court directed Bhardey to attend the investigation regardless of his bail status and ordered him not to leave the city.

Additionally, a hearing in the main murder case was conducted, with the new investigating officer requesting more time to gather medical and investigation reports. The court granted the additional time and requested a progress report and medical examination report at the next hearing on August 24.
