Mara chairman orders SOP review after missing MRSM Alor Gajah students found

KUALA LUMPUR: Mara chairman Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki has ordered a review of the organization's standard operating procedure (SOP) for transporting students to health clinics after the disappearance of two MRSM Alor Gajah students for four days. The chairman emphasized the necessity of a comprehensive investigation to ascertain the incident's cause and prevent its recurrence.

In a Facebook post, Asyraf confirmed that the two 16-year-old students, who had gone missing since August 11, were found safe at Central Market last night. Notably, both students had visited a health clinic in Alor Gajah prior to their disappearance, seeking treatment for feeling unwell. The incident has prompted speculation on social media regarding the current SOP for MRSM students visiting clinics for medical care, with some users arguing that teachers do not need to accompany students for such visits, while others contend that this falls within a teacher's responsibilities.
