'Many forces don't want India to become Vishwaguru’: RSS chief Bhagwat

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat urged the public to bolster India's independence by promoting happiness, prosperity, and security, warning that numerous individuals and forces oppose these objectives. At an event following the hoisting of the national flag at RSS headquarters in Nagpur, Bhagwat stated, "We must make the nation happy, prosperous and secure, while ensuring it contributes meaningfully to the world."

Acknowledging Independence Day as a source of pride, he highlighted the sacrifices made by Indian ancestors in the 1857 freedom struggle, emphasizing the responsibility to preserve the independence achieved through their efforts. Describing saffron as a symbol of action, knowledge, and sacrifice, Bhagwat stressed that the nation's success depends on continuous hard work, sacrifice, and knowledge.

White and green on the flag represent purity, discipline, and prosperity, respectively, and when individuals embody these qualities, society remains peaceful, and minds remain pure. Bhagwat emphasized the unity symbolized by the Ashoka Chakra, urging people to reflect on the flag's values and integrate them into their lives. He concluded by asserting India's commitment to remaining an independent nation and the duty of its citizens to contribute positively to humanity.
