Israeli violations in southern Lebanon undermine talks, says Joseph Aoun

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun has criticized Israeli actions in southern Lebanon, stating they undermine ongoing negotiations and US efforts to mediate. Aoun emphasized that Israeli airstrikes and violations send a negative signal to the negotiation process and US initiatives. He further condemned Israeli attacks on southern areas, especially near Nabatieh, as well as repeated breaches of the framework agreement and the military coordination group's work.

Aoun highlighted these actions as a violation of international laws protecting civilians, which tragically resulted in the death of an entire family from the town of Ansar. Despite Lebanon's commitment to participating in the negotiation process, Israeli airstrikes have caused the death and injury of several Lebanese civilians in recent hours, according to Aoun.
