Islamabad police get 30 new vehicles ending 14-year wait

Islamabad police have finally received 30 new vehicles after a 14-year wait, as announced on Saturday. The vehicles were handed over to 27 police stations in the federal capital by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Minister of State for Interior Tallal Chaudhry during a ceremony at Police Lines. Naqvi emphasized that the concept of modern policing is unattainable without functional vehicles, stating that these new cars will improve response time.

He also mentioned that all necessary resources are being provided to Islamabad police to ensure public safety and security. The minister further revealed that construction and upgrading of all police stations in Islamabad are underway and will be completed soon. Chaudhry noted that the police force has been using outdated vehicles for 14 years and that construction work on the 27 stations is ongoing, with completion expected this year.

The state minister also announced that 9,000 new personnel are being recruited to the police force to address the manpower shortage, with merit being strictly ensured. Naqvi concluded by highlighting that these changes have been implemented in the last two years, with the aim of making Islamabad police a model for the entire country.
