Inter sign England full-back Spence from Tottenham

Inter Milan has successfully secured the signing of England full-back Djed Spence from Tottenham Hotspur. The Serie A champions have agreed to pay a fee of approximately 30 million euros for the 26-year-old. Spence is the second English player to join Inter this summer following John Stones' move to San Siro from Manchester City after his contract with the latter expired.

Spence expressed his gratitude to Tottenham fans and staff members in a farewell message on his social media accounts, stating that the club would always hold a special place in his heart. The full-back had previously confirmed the move on Saturday, reflecting on his time with the north London club, including a memorable night in Bilbao during the World Cup. Spence, who joined Spurs from Middlesbrough in 2022, played 85 matches for the club and helped them win the 2024-25 Europa League title.

Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi had expressed his desire to retain Spence at the club in July. This signing marks Spence's second tenure in Italy, following a six-month loan at Genoa in 2024.
