Inkosi Yamagcokama to be laid to rest at his homestead in Umsinga

Maskandi musician Scebi Dlamini, widely known as Inkosi Yamagcokama, is set to be buried at his home in Umsinga, KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, on Saturday. Dlamini passed away in a tragic car crash on Sunday in Richards Bay, on the province’s north coast, alongside fellow musician Sipho ‘Gupta’ Mchunu, who was buried on Friday. Dlamini was recognized as one of a new wave of Maskandi musicians who used their music to influence people's lives and help modernize the genre to appeal to younger fans.

Various Maskandi artists and musicians from other genres are anticipated to attend the funeral. Hailing from Umsinga, Dlamini played a significant role in bringing the area to prominence and served as an inspiration for many young people in rural areas. Several taxi associations are anticipated to offer transportation, while emergency personnel will be on standby at the location to address any issues.

Several government officials from local, provincial, and national levels are also expected to attend the funeral.
