An addictive mobile game called No 10: Full Confidence has recently topped Apple's paid games chart, surpassing the popular Minecraft. Created by developer Benjamin Brewis, the game lets players assume the role of the UK prime minister, navigating a series of political scenarios to remain in office for as long as possible. In the game, players must balance the moods of four factions - the cabinet, backbenchers, the media, and the public - through over 300 fictional political scenarios.

Each decision made can either please or upset these factions, with a complete loss of trust from one side leading to the end of a political career. Despite the game's absurd situations, Brewis draws inspiration from real-life examples, including the antics of politicians like Boris Johnson. While the author of the story didn't fare well in the game, with Verity Grimshaw, their chosen prime minister, losing her position within a year and a half due to a lack of trust from the press and a cabinet minister's resignation, other players have fared much better, with one player even staying in power for 1,885 months (157 years).

The success of No 10: Full Confidence suggests a new sub-genre of mobile games inspired by the recent political drama in Westminster.
