Hull sign Gelhardt and Gourna-Douath

Hull City has completed the signings of English forward Joe Gelhardt and French midfielder Lucas Gourna-Douath from Leeds and Red Bull Salzburg, respectively. Gelhardt, 24, has agreed to a four-year contract with an additional year option, while Gourna-Douath has committed to a five-year deal with the Tigers. The duo join the club as their 10th and 11th signings since securing promotion back to the Premier League last season.

Gelhardt, who previously spent two loan spells at Hull, scored 14 goals in the Championship last term and the decisive second goal in the play-off second leg against Millwall. He expressed his joy at returning to the team and connecting with fans, staff, and players. Gourna-Douath, who started his career at Saint-Etienne and later played for Salzburg and Le Havre, stated that he is thrilled to be joining Hull City, highlighting the club's reputation as a family-oriented organization.
