Himanshi Khurana recalls traumatic childhood: ‘My father used to beat my mother’

Himanshi Khurana has shared details of her difficult childhood, revealing that she grew up in a home plagued by domestic violence and alcoholism. In an interview with the podcast host Paras Chhabra, she recounted numerous instances of her father physically abusing her mother. The actress-singer, who gained national attention through her participation in Bigg Boss 13, said she and her younger brother often went hungry, sometimes having to eat at school or in the canteen due to her father's drinking habits.

During violent episodes, Himanshi would take her brother and flee the house, finding solace in a quiet corner. Despite the trauma, she chose silence for years, but now acknowledges how these experiences continue to affect her sensitivity to noise and conflict.
