He saw the crash online and knew something was wrong: Father loses wife, son in Temerloh crash

TEMERLOH, Aug 15 — Father Saifulnizam Sulaiman learned of his wife's and son's tragic deaths after noticing they hadn't responded to his messages over the course of several hours. The 39-year-old was in Seremban for work when his wife Nur Fatima Syuhada Abdullah, also 39, and their twelve-year-old son Muhammad Fattah Aisy Naufal Saifulnizam embarked on a trip from Jerantut to join their father during the school break.

Saifulnizam attempted to contact his wife via message at around 5pm, but without success. Upon finishing his work at approximately 7pm, he discovered the message was still unread, and his calls went unanswered. This prompted concern, as his wife typically kept him informed about their whereabouts during their 14 years of marriage.

His suspicions deepened when he stumbled upon news of a crash on Jalan Temerloh-Triang via social media. The initial thought that crossed his mind was, "That must be my wife and son." Despite reaching out to relatives in Temerloh, they too were unable to reach them. Saifulnizam made his way to Temerloh to investigate the incident.

Unfortunately, Nur Fatima and Muhammad Fattah lost their lives when their vehicle collided with a diesel tanker at around 4:30pm yesterday at Kilometre 9 of Jalan Temerloh-Triang. The fiery collision resulted in both cars burning. According to Saifulnizam, his wife and son departed from Jerantut at about 2pm, heading towards Seremban to assist him with his business during the summer holidays.

The tanker transporting 32,000 litres of diesel had reportedly skidded before colliding with their car. Videos depicting the crash ignited by the ensuing blaze rapidly spread across social media platforms.
