He saw the crash online and knew something was wrong: Father loses wife, son in Temerloh crash

TEMERLOH, Aug 15 — Saifulnizam Sulaiman, a 39-year-old man, witnessed a tragic accident online and realized something was gravely wrong when his wife, Nur Fatima Syuhada Abdullah, 39, and their 12-year-old son, Muhammad Fattah Aisy Naufal Saifulnizam, did not respond to his messages or calls. He was in Seremban for work, while his family was en route from Jerantut to join him during the school holidays.

Despite their 14 years of marriage, Saifulnizam noticed that his wife never failed to keep him updated on their location and journey through messages or calls. Upon realizing her absence, he felt that something dreadful had occurred. His suspicions intensified when he saw a crash report on social media, which led him to the Jalan Temerloh-Triang area.

He immediately contacted relatives in Temerloh, but they too were unable to reach his wife and son. Upon arriving in Temerloh, Saifulnizam discovered that his family had perished in a collision with a diesel tanker at around 4.30pm yesterday. Both vehicles involved in the accident caught fire, and the tanker, carrying 32,000 litres of diesel, likely skidded before the collision.
