Four foreign divers found safe after failing to surface off Sattahip

Four foreign divers who failed to resurface off Sattahip on Friday night were discovered alive in Samae San on the same day, according to a water rescue team from the Sawang Rojana foundation. The divers walked ashore at Nam Sai Beach in Samae San at 8:30pm, and were found to be uninjured. The boat, Jer Por Dee Tour, carrying eight tourists and five dive instructors, had left Wara Sin bridge at Samae San around 10am.

The boat was headed towards a dive site known as Rong Khon Rong Nang, whose exact location has not been confirmed. Four of the tourists went down for technical diving training and were due back on the surface at 3pm. However, they did not resurface, and the instructors searched the area without finding any trace of them. The crew then alerted the Thai Maritime Enforcement Command Centre and the Chonburi maritime command centre.

The search involved boats from other dive operators in the area. All four divers were certified and experienced, with some serving as instructors themselves. The divers were not accounted for when they were supposed to send a marker at the agreed time, which prompted the captain and crew to begin the search. The nationality and ages of the divers, as well as the exact coordinates and depth of the dive site, remain unknown.
