Federal capital witnesses over 57 incidents of various crimes

ISLAMABAD experienced more than 57 criminal incidents, encompassing carjacking, mobile phone and cash snatchings, and various forms of theft, throughout the last week. According to Business Recorder's data, these crimes resulted in a total loss of millions of rupees' worth of valuables for citizens. Criminal gangs were notably active in the areas surrounding Industrial Area, Ramana, Khanna, Noon, Sangjani, Bhara Kahu, and Aabpara police stations.

A total of 30 carjackings, 11 instances of mobile phone and cash snatching at gunpoint, and 16 other types of theft, including robberies, were reported in the last week. Among the 32 stolen vehicles, one was a car, and the remaining 29 were motorbikes. Auto thieves also stole three motorbikes from Aabpara police station, three from Ramana police station, three more from Bhara Kahu, two from Karachi Company police station, two from Golra, and two from Sihala police station.

Industrial Area police registered three robbery cases, two street crime cases (including mobile phone and cash snatchings), and one auto theft case. Ramana police station registered two robbery cases and three carjacking incidents. Khanna police station reported two robbery cases and one street crime case, while Sangjani police station reported four robbery cases.

Shams Colony police station registered one robbery, one street crime, and one auto theft case, while Margalla police station and Shalimar police station reported two street crimes each.
