Farm attack horror: Farmer’s fingers cut as suspects in police uniforms steal guns and cash

In a chilling incident of farm robbery, four suspects allegedly masquerading as police officers carried out a violent attack on a farm in the Capricorn District of Limpopo. The perpetrators, clad in police uniforms and reflective jackets with their faces hidden, targeted the farm on a Thursday afternoon around 1 pm.

Upon arrival, the robbers approached an employee, who suspected something was amiss and attempted to escape. One of the suspects allegedly threatened him with a firearm, resulting in the employee being tied up. The suspects held the premises for around three hours before the farm owner and two employees arrived.

The suspects confronted the arriving individuals at gunpoint, demanding access to a safe. The farm owner initially denied having a safe, which led the suspects to assault him with a pick and sjambok. In an attempt to force the farmer to reveal the safe key, one of the suspects cut his fingers with a sidecutter.

The robbers eventually broke open the safe, stealing rifles, a pistol, ammunition, an unspecified sum of cash, a bank card, and four cellular phones. They also demanded the keys to a vehicle. One shot was reportedly fired during the ordeal.

The suspects fled the scene in a 1999 white Toyota Hilux Double-Cab, registered as BHY 893 L. Despite the extensive search, the perpetrators remain at large, and no arrests have been made. Police have appealed to the public for any information that could aid in locating the suspects, recovering the stolen vehicle, and firearms.
