Fahmi: PKR to strengthen communication strategy to better convey govt messages

Melaka, August 16 — The Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) is set to enhance its communication strategy, specifically in information dissemination, to ensure that the government's messages are more effectively delivered to the public, according to PKR Information Chief and Communications Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil. This decision came after several suggestions were presented by delegates during the ongoing PKR National Congress 2026 held at the Melaka International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITC), Ayer Keroh.

Fahmi emphasized the importance of this move, citing that while the government has made efforts and achieved significant progress, particularly in macroeconomic areas, the benefits are not yet being felt by households. As the Communications Ministry and Information Chief for Pakatan Harapan, Fahmi highlighted that these messages would be a focal point during the congress's closing session tomorrow.

Fahmi indicated that he remains open to the proposed changes and acknowledged the dedication of branch leaders who have pledged to play a more significant role in disseminating information. He acknowledged the existence of such a channel previously but suggested that a more formal structure might be necessary to bring parliamentary-level issues to Putrajaya's attention and to collaborate on finding solutions.

The PKR Central Leadership Council (MPP) has expressed openness to all proposals raised by delegates and aims to drive the transformation by initiating changes within the party's leadership structure first.
