Elliot Kabutey Tei outlines strategic blueprint to drive NPP victory in Tema East

Elliot Kabutey Tei, the newly elected Constituency Treasurer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Tema East, has presented a comprehensive plan to bolster the party's presence in the region. In an interview following his election victory, Tei thanked party delegates, elders, polling station executives, and grassroots members for their confidence in him.

He highlighted the election as a demonstration of the NPP's dedication to internal democracy, urging the party not to view the contest as a competition of winners and losers, but rather as a joint victory for the party.

As Constituency Treasurer, Tei's primary duty is to serve as the financial backbone and operational engine of the party's activities in Tema East, ensuring the constituency remains well-resourced and election-ready at all times. His administration will concentrate on three key areas: financial transparency and integrity, grassroots support, and sustainable fundraising.

In terms of financial management, Tei has pledged to implement stringent financial controls and transparent reporting methods to ensure all funds raised are properly accounted for and directed towards the party's growth and electoral readiness. To bolster support for the party's grassroots structures, he aims to ensure efficient distribution of operational resources to electoral area coordinators and polling station executives, who are vital in mobilizing community support.

Tei also intends to lead local fundraising initiatives, collaborating with business stakeholders, party patrons, and supporters to establish a reliable financial foundation for the constituency.

Emphasizing the strategic importance of Tema East within Ghana's electoral landscape, Tei called upon party members throughout the region to rally behind a shared objective. With the internal elections now concluded, he stressed that attention should now shift towards strengthening the party's structures and mobilizing support ahead of future national elections.

Tei urged party members to set aside differing campaign views and collaborate collectively to secure victory for the NPP and its presidential contender, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, stating that unity, discipline, and diligent effort would be crucial in cementing the party's stronghold in the constituency. He expressed optimism that through unity, effective resource management, and a robust grassroots campaign, the NPP would be well-equipped to meet its electoral goals in Tema East and beyond.
