Detroit Tigers Set for Awkward Reunion With Jake Rogers

The Chicago White Sox are preparing to welcome former Detroit Tiger Jake Rogers back to Comerica Park. This time, Rogers will be wearing the uniform of an American League Central rival as he starts at catcher for Chicago against Detroit on Saturday. The White Sox acquired Rogers from the Baltimore Orioles in July before trading him to Boston at the deadline. He then was claimed off waivers by the White Sox on Friday.

He was especially trusted by Tigers pitcher Tarik Skubal. However, Dillon Dingler's development led to Rogers being designated for assignment by Detroit in July.
