CCPO reviews performance of Civil Lines, City divisions

LAHORE - Capital City Police Officer Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana convened a meeting to assess the performance of the Civil Lines and City divisions, with a focus on maintaining law and order, combating crime, and enhancing public service delivery. During the discussion, it was reported that 21 suspects involved in the illicit practice of usury had been apprehended as part of an ongoing operation.

Kamyana emphasized the importance of enforcing strict measures against those participating in this illegal activity, pledging to pursue legal action against them. He also ordered the prompt provision of justice and protection to victims of usury. In addition, Kamyana directed intensified efforts to combat narcotics and dismantle drug networks operating within the city, calling for targeted operations against drug dealers and ensuring their accountability.

The CCPO also instructed authorities to identify and take action against Afghan residents residing illegally in Lahore, in line with the law, and imposed stricter surveillance at key locations frequented by Afghans, alongside vigilant monitoring of suspicious activities. Furthermore, Kamyana reiterated the necessity of continuous combing operations across Lahore, expanding intelligence-based operations against criminal elements, and firmly dealing with individuals posing a threat to law and order.

He stressed the significance of efficient public service delivery, instructing police officers not to compel citizens to visit multiple times to resolve their complaints, and promising swift relief to aggrieved individuals while facilitating timely justice. Present at the meeting were DIG Investigation Zeeshan Raza, DIG Operations Faisal Kamran, SSP Investigation Muhammad Naveed, and police officers from the Civil Lines and City divisions.
