Bournemouth, who have risen from League Two to the Premier League in just five years, returned to the top flight after being relegated in 2020 and will now play in Europe for the first time this season. The club reviewed its matchday staffing for the upcoming season, making changes to roles and working requirements to enhance safety and security.

One member of the matchday staff, who has served the club for nearly 60 years, received an email with four paragraphs, expressing disappointment upon learning their contract would not be renewed. The club has since offered employment to this individual in a different area for the next season.
