All races bear cost for TH mismanagement, says Anwar

The royal commission of inquiry recommended a major overhaul to improve oversight, conduct forensic audits on selected investments, and limit political involvement in the institution.

The findings led to investigations by law enforcement agencies, resulting in high-profile arrests. Anwar stated that he would not punish anyone before a full investigation, leaving that task to enforcement agencies and the judiciary. He defended the government's decision to make the report public, stating that the Cabinet made the decision without objections from its members.

Opposition MPs walked out of Parliament during the special sitting to debate the royal commission's report due to the delayed attendance of Prime Minister Anwar, who was recovering from surgery.
