Adeleke Campaign raises alarm over directive from Senator who issued death threat

The Imole Campaign Council, representing Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, has demanded a security investigation into alleged voter intimidation by Senator Francis Fadahunsi during the recent governorship election. The call for an inquiry came following the emergence of a video showing the senator addressing supporters at his polling unit in Ilase-Ijesa.

In the video, Fadahunsi is heard instructing All Progressives Congress (APC) supporters to monitor how voters cast their ballots, warning that those who do not vote appropriately will face consequences. The campaign council's spokesman, Pelumi Olajengbesi, condemned the senator's behavior as "scandalous, unacceptable and undemocratic," emphasizing that security agencies must immediately stop the voter intimidation.

Olajengbesi also reminded the public of Fadahunsi's earlier controversial remarks about members of the Accord Party, which the senator later clarified as a metaphorical call to defeat the party through voting rather than violence. The Imole Campaign Council expressed concern that the latest controversy follows the earlier one, stating, "One would have thought that he had learnt his lessons with his last despicable outing, but alas!
