Abang Akmal antara 15 calon tanding PRN Melaka

Menteri Besar of Melaka, Abang Akmal, has announced that the Bersatu party will field 15 candidates in the upcoming PRN election in the state. The surprise pick is Dr Solehin Saleh, the brother of Umno Youth Chief and Merlimau parliamentary representative, Dr Akmal Saleh. Dr Solehin will contest under the Bersatu banner in Bemban.

Bersatu, as a new name, requires more work to introduce itself to voters, stated Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, the party leader. Introducing themselves earlier will allow them to meet voters more promptly, he added. PRN Melaka is scheduled to take place later this month, though Chief Minister Ab Rauf Yusoh hinted it might be held as early as September.

Bersatu's latest appearance was at the PRN Johor election held on July 11, where all 15 of their candidates failed to win and forfeited their deposits. The other Bersatu candidates slated to contest before PRN Melaka include Ruzsyahriman Jenal from Kuala Linggi, Aman Akil Abdul Talib from Rembia, B Laveen from Gadek, B Prasanth Kumar from Machap Jaya, Ridzuan Abdul Rahman from Sungai Udang, Abdul Rashid Abu Bakar from Paya Rumput, Goh Han Koon from Kelebang, Yong Jie Yu from Pengkalan Batu, Goh Han Koon from Pengkalan Batu, Muhaimin Lau Abdullah from Ayer Keroh, Bryan Kek from Kesidang, Ethan Lim from Kota Laksamana, Hazwan Mustafa from Telok Mas, and Saffie Yasan from Bemban.
