80th Independence Day Celebrated At SAI CRC Bhopal With Flag Hoisting, Athlete Felicitations

On Saturday, the Sports Authority of India's Central Regional Centre in Bhopal celebrated the 80th Independence Day with an air of patriotic enthusiasm. The festivities kicked off with the singing of national songs, followed by the flag hoisting ceremony conducted by Regional Director Shri Abhisek Singh Chauhan, who was subsequently joined by the singing of the national anthem. Officers, coaches, athletes, and support staff attended the ceremony, showcasing their pride and enthusiasm.

Shri Chauhan emphasized the importance of Independence Day and praised the dedication of athletes, coaches, and the entire SAI CRC Bhopal team to bolstering India's sporting landscape. He urged young athletes to maintain their commitment to excellence and strive for greater achievements for the nation. The program also highlighted the accomplishments of renowned SAI athletes and their contributions to Indian sports.

Prominent SAI athletes received felicitations for their outstanding achievements and service to the nation, with the Indian Oil National Hockey Team being amongst the recipients. A special gesture of appreciation was also extended to the housekeeping staff, ground staff, and horticultural team of SAI CRC Bhopal for their invaluable role in maintaining the campus and ensuring a positive training environment for athletes.

The day concluded with a vote of thanks by Assistant Director Shri Rajat Sharma, who expressed gratitude to all staff and members of the SAI family for making the Independence Day celebration a memorable event.
