2027 Hajj: NAHCON warns against fake slot agents

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has issued a warning to intending pilgrims and tour operators against engaging with individuals claiming to secure special Hajj slots. These unscrupulous agents are demanding money as "facilitation fees" or additional payments, which is strictly prohibited. NAHCON has criticized these fraudulent activities and emphasized that only officially designated channels, such as state pilgrims welfare agencies, designated Hajj savings banks, and licensed tour operators, should be used for payments.

The commission stressed that the allocation of Hajj slots is strictly governed by approved processes and stressed the importance of adhering to the deadlines for uploading pilgrims' data and completing payments. Any unauthorized requests for payments to secure Hajj slots are illegal and should be reported to the police or other law enforcement agencies.
