서강대 학생·교직원 개인정보 18만건 유출…“신원미상 외부 공격”

The 29th Korea International Cartoon Festival commences on September 18th, spanning three days at the Korean Museum of Comics in Gyeonggi-do, Bucheon. This year's theme, "만화·웹툰 만만합니다," invites audiences of all ages and backgrounds to engage with the world of comics. Exhibitions, cosplay events, industry collaborations, and international artist showcases will take place concurrently.

The Korean Comic Arts Promotion Institute unveiled the festival's theme and official poster on September 18th. The phrase "만만합니다" encapsulates the idea that comics are easy and friendly to enjoy, while "만만(漫漫)" represents the endless possibilities and imaginative depth of comics. The poster was designed by illustrator Kajebak.

In addition to viewing the works, attendees will have opportunities to interact directly with creators and fans, participate in various programs, and communicate with one another. The official poster features illustrations from Kajebak, centering around the award-winning 2025 Bucheon Comics Award-winning title "Aurora." Characters from various generations of comics and webtoons, including "Hyde Level Up," "Songgol," "Giant Sea Ship," and "Hypnotic Dragon," coexist on a single canvas.

Local mascot "Bucheon Hand-Head" and festival mascot "Mandeogi" join characters crafted by neighborhood residents. Kajebak emphasized the keyword "communication" as the focal point of the poster, stating, "I aimed to depict a scene where characters from different eras and genres coexist." This year's festival also marks the 10th anniversary of the Gyeonggi International Cosplay Festival, featuring special exhibitions and premium classes, and the 30th anniversary of the International Comics Artists Conference, which will see participation from domestic and international creators.

Exhibition, market, signing events, and participatory activities will continue throughout the festival. Parallel exhibitions, including "Our Neighborhood Comic Characters" and "Student Comic Work Award," will showcase works, while an extensive outdoor comic café will provide a space for readers to enjoy comics under the open sky.
