World Vision Ghana brings hope to Krachi West with GH¢10,000 donation of clothing, sandals

World Vision Ghana has donated an impressive GHC10,000 worth of clothing, sandals and essential items to over 6,200 vulnerable individuals in Krachi West Municipality, Oti Region. The gift, consisting of assorted clothing, footwear and other necessities, aims to alleviate daily struggles faced by families and enhance living conditions.

Beneficiaries include 2,085 girls, 1,753 boys, 1,441 women and 921 men across the municipality. This generous donation is part of World Vision Ghana’s commitment to community development, poverty reduction and improving the wellbeing of children and families. Augustine Nyaaba, Kete-Krachi Cluster Manager of World Vision Ghana, stated that the intervention targets immediate needs while contributing to long-term community development.

He highlighted that access to basic necessities like clothing and footwear can significantly impact children’s education by improving their confidence and encouraging regular school attendance. Although World Vision Ghana has consistently supported the community with educational materials and other interventions, the latest donation stands out due to its provision of brand-new clothing and sandals from their partners in Canada.

Residents of Krachi West, including students and parents, expressed gratitude for the timely and impactful support, noting that the items will help address clothing deficiencies and motivate children to stay in school. The community has also called on other organizations, businesses and development partners to emulate World Vision Ghana’s initiative and support vulnerable families in the municipality.
