Woman allegedly beheaded in Adamawa hotel

A woman has died after being allegedly beheaded by a man in a hotel room in Girei, a community near Adamawa State's capital Yola, according to sources. The victim, whose identity has not been confirmed, was reportedly taken to the hotel by the suspect where they engaged in a loud argument before the incident. The altercation took place on Friday afternoon, following which the suspect was apprehended by members of the public.

Upon arrival at the scene, the police were informed and took over the case while the victim's body was removed from the hotel. A source familiar with the incident reported that people heard a fight in the room occupied by the suspect, who was found lying in a pool of blood with a deep cut to her neck. The state Police Public Relations Officer confirmed the incident shortly before this report was published at about 7:30 pm on Friday.
