UAE traffic update: Heavy congestion hits E11, E311 and Dubai-Sharjah roads

Friday morning brought heavy congestion to major roads in Dubai and Sharjah, according to Dubai Police. The E11 and E311 highways, as well as several routes near Al Qusais, Al Nahda, and Sharjah Industrial Areas, were experiencing significant delays. Dubai Police advised motorists to ensure their vehicle air-conditioning systems were functioning properly to combat rising cabin temperatures and prevent fatigue.

Traffic was especially heavy around Al Twar 3 towards Dubai International Airport, Madinat Al Maktoum, Al Khabaisi, Al Mamzar by Al Ittihad Street, Hessyan First, Al Quoz Industrial Area Second, and Al Zumorrod Street. The Dubai-Sharjah border saw particularly severe congestion, with delays stretching from Sahara Centre across the border towards the D93/4th Street interchange.

Other heavily congested areas included Deira and Abu Hail near the D93 and D92 connections, as well as the E311 interchange. Bumper-to-bumper traffic was reported on several roads, including Damascus Street (D64) through Al Qusais Industrial Area, Beirut Street (D62) through Al Qusais, and the D93/4th Street connection with E11.

Sharjah Industrial Areas, particularly around Industrial Areas 10 and 15 and Muwaileh Commercial, near the E311 interchange, were also experiencing severe congestion. Drivers were advised to allow extra time for their journeys, check traffic conditions before setting out, and consider alternative routes where possible.
