Despite its budget of $165 million, the movie struggled to connect with audiences, dropping by 69% in its second weekend. Despite the underperformance, merchandise sales helped the film recover financially. IGN's review labeled the movie as "mediocre" in a 5/10 rating, stating that it falls short of delivering thrilling, surprising, or character-focused content.
