Texas A&M unveils special desert camouflage uniforms it will wear in rivalry game against Arkansas

Texas A&M announced on Friday that it will don desert camouflage uniforms against Arkansas on October 3, 2026. The new "Honor and Support" jerseys and helmets, featuring maroon pants, will replace the traditional Aggie attire for the matchup against the Razorbacks. The Aggie football team's new look draws inspiration from the khaki uniforms of the Corps of Cadets and the natural surroundings of Aggieland, with elements such as a star and laurel leaf on one sleeve and a Texas flag on the other.

Safety and team captain Marcus Ratcliffe, a military family member, showcased the new uniforms during a Military Appreciation event. The game will also mark Texas A&M's celebration of its 150th anniversary. The special jerseys and other camo-inspired clothing will be available for purchase starting Saturday at the official Aggie online shop.

Over the past 15 years, Texas A&M has experimented with various alternate uniforms, including all-black, chrome, and throwback designs, aligning with the current trend in college football. Texas A&M, which made its College Football Playoff debut last season, will open its season at home against Missouri State on September 5.
