Teens who fled Venezuela after deadly quakes caught in another disaster in Colombia

Deivi and Winder Delfín, two Venezuelan teenagers, have experienced a series of disasters in the past months. The 15-year-old and his 17-year-old brother were hit by two devastating earthquakes in Venezuela, which killed over 6,300 people and left their mother and siblings under rubble. Forced to flee, they moved to Cali, Colombia, where their father worked.

However, just three days later, the ground shook again. The brothers had left their 10-year-old brother Moissés behind, but he was eventually found holding onto his mother's plastic hair dye bag. They buried their family members before settling into a new home in Cali. Unfortunately, their peace was short-lived as Colombia experienced its strongest earthquake in the century.

The magnitude 7.4 quake killed several hundred people, with many still missing, and Cali was once again among the hardest-hit areas. Deivi and Winder, now living with their father, recall feeling the same trembling sensation as before, but this time, their father was not there to reassure them.
