SCCL CMD inaugurates rooftop solar plants at Corporate Area in Kothagudem

Buddha Prakash Jyoti, Singareni Collieries Company Limited's Chairman and Managing Director, inaugurated rooftop solar power plants at the Singareni Corporate Area in Kothagudem on Friday. The 1.23 MW installation is part of SCCL's expansion into renewable energy, complementing the company's existing thermal power sector. Jyoti formally connected the new solar power plants to the grid, highlighting the company's commitment to sustainable energy solutions.

Since 2020, SCCL has installed a total of 245.5 MW capacity of solar power plants across various vacant sites within its premises. The chairman emphasized that more solar plants would be established in line with government directives aimed at meeting energy requirements.
