Rowdy-sheeter arrested under Goonda Act

Bengaluru's Central Crime Branch (CCB) apprehended a 23-year-old rowdy-sheeter, Vijay S., on August 13 under the Goonda Act. The arrest came after CCB Organised Crime Wing (West Division) alleged that Vijay was involved in disturbing law and order and creating fear among the public. The young man, who operated within the areas of Kalasipalya and Siddapura Police Stations, was charged with serious offences including attempted murder, assault, and consumption of narcotic substances.

According to the police, Vijay had already been booked in nine cases, with two cases of attempted murder, six cases of assault, and one related to narcotic substances. The Bengaluru City Police Commissioner, Seemant Kumar Singh, endorsed the detention order on the same day, preventing Vijay from continuing his alleged unlawful activities.
