Police arrest drug dealer, six others after recovering rifles in abandoned vehicle

The Kebbi State Police Command has apprehended Abubakar Musa for allegedly desecrating the Qur’an and utilizing spells and hypnosis for ritualistic purposes in Zango Area, Zuru, according to a statement from their public relations officer, SP Bashir Usman. Preliminary investigations suggest that Musa, along with Rabi'u Tela, Zarau Hassan's husband, and Hamza Zango, conspired to bury a Holy Qur'an copy inside Zarau Hassan's room, mixed with semen, white and red kola nuts, underwear, dead animals, and other occultic objects, intending to subdue Zarau Hassan to her husband, Rabi'u Tela.

This act, which could provoke unrest among the Muslim community, remains under investigation, with efforts to catch the two fugitives ongoing. Meanwhile, CP Umar M. Hadejia has strongly denounced the alleged act, promising a decisive response by the police command to safeguard religious harmony, public order, and communal peace.
