Police Arrest 6 Suspected Kidnappers, Dismantle Hideout in Kaduna

The Kaduna State Police Command has apprehended six individuals suspected of kidnapping and dismantled their hideout in Dogon Pako village, Ikara Local Government Area. The arrests occurred on Tuesday following tips from a kidnapped victim and public intelligence. According to the Police's PR officer, DSP Mansir Hassan, the victim provided a description of the residence of Ja'e Samalu, 65, where he was reportedly held captive.

Following this information, the Divisional Police Officer led a team, including Vigilante Service members, to raid Samalu's home. Six suspects have been taken into custody: Samalu, Abdul-Aziz Musa, 35, known as "Kire"; Jafar Isah, 25; Yunusa Musa, 22; Shu'aibu Musa, 20; and Rakiya Samalu, 50. Rakiya is believed to be the mother of several suspects and the caretaker of the kidnapped individual.

Police are investigating their roles and seek to apprehend additional members of the alleged criminal network. Kaduna State's Commissioner of Police, CP Muhammad Rabiu, praised the police and public for their timely information, urging residents to stay vigilant and report suspicious activities to the nearest police station. He also cautioned against criminals using residential buildings for hiding or holding kidnapped victims, emphasizing the importance of community vigilance in preventing and dismantling kidnapping networks.
