Police arrest 147 suspects in Niger raids, recover weapons, cannabis

In Niger State, police conducted raids in multiple locations, arresting 147 suspects in connection with criminal activities and alleged thuggery. The operations were launched after reports of a recent unlawful assembly and violent rally in Suleja. Police recovered weapons, cannabis, and various dangerous items from the suspects.

In Minna, eight suspects were arrested during raids targeting suspected thugs and criminal hideouts. The recovered items included a long flexible cutlass, clubs, and suspected cannabis. The police stated that the operations were part of their efforts to maintain security and tackle criminal activities across Niger State.
