Pakistani missions abroad celebrate Independence Day with patriotic fervour

Pakistani missions worldwide marked Independence Day with patriotic fervor and traditional customs, hosting flag-raising ceremonies at embassies, high commissions and consulates. The events commenced with the national flag being raised by the country's representatives, followed by the national anthem. Participating in the celebrations were members of the Pakistani diaspora, officials from host nations, diplomats, media representatives, embassy staff and their families.

In New Delhi, the High Commission of Pakistan hosted a flag-raising ceremony led by Chargé d’Affaires Saad Ahmad Warraich. In his address, Warraich highlighted Pakistan's achievements and emphasized the country's nuclear capability as a stabilizing force in South Asia. He also recalled the sacrifices made by the founding fathers and praised the role of the armed forces in safeguarding the nation's sovereignty and people's dignity.

To commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam, a photo exhibition showcasing his life and vision was inaugurated after the ceremony.

In Kabul, the Pakistan Embassy organized a flag-raising ceremony with Ambassador Ubaidur Rehman Nizamani hoisting the national flag. The ambassador reiterated the leadership's vision and honored the struggle of the founding fathers. He also acknowledged the courage of the country's security forces and their determination to overcome challenges.

In Abu Dhabi, the Pakistan Embassy organized a flag-raising ceremony attended by a large number of the Pakistani community and their families. Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan urged the community to continue playing a constructive role in Pakistan's progress and prosperity. He appreciated the community's contribution to the UAE's development through remittances and its role as a bridge between the two countries. Khan thanked the UAE government for its hospitality and urged Pakistanis to respect local laws.

In Canberra, High Commissioner Irfan Shaukat led the flag-raising ceremony at the High Commission for Pakistan. He honored the founding fathers and reaffirmed their vision for a sovereign, democratic and progressive Pakistan. Khan emphasized the Pakistani diaspora's significant role in the country's socio-economic development. In Paris, Ambassador Mumtaz Zahra Baloch hoisted the national flag and welcomed the Pakistani community, praising the children for their enthusiastic participation and singing of patriotic songs.
